Support Shakespeare by the Lakes
We are looking forward to bringing Twelfth Night to you in 2019 and who knows what 2020 will bring!
You can donate through this listing or via any one of the individual show listings.
Donations
All donations are welcome and will enable us to get 2019 up and kick-start 2020. In 2019, we have increased the Canberra shows by two and expanded to an additional venue. As support and sponsorship increases we would like to expand further to other parts of Canberra and maybe to nearby towns.
We have set a threshold of $55 above which donors achieve the status of 'Mate of Shakespeare by the Lakes'.
Mates of Shakespeare by the Lakes
Everyone needs friends and every non-profit group striving to present free, high quality productions of William Shakespeare's plays, every year, needs mates. Shakespeare by the Lakes 2019 needs mates. We need you.
While your donation won't be tax deductible you will be 'escorted up the red carpet' and added to our 'Mates' mailing list to receive updates throughout year of how the new production is coming along, as well as being invited to key events, such as the announcement of our play for 2020 and the launch of our season in late 2020. You are an important part of our journey which we will walk together.
It's easy to be a Mate of Shakespeare by the Lakes and your support for the arts will not go unnoticed.
We’ll need a photographer, social media manager, a merchandising manager, e-program designer, costume creatives, marketing assistants and general support. We’ll need lots of wonderful volunteers to become part of our event family.
Sponsors
We welcome partnerships at all levels. If you or your organisation is in a position to consider taking Shakespeare by the Lakes to the next level, below is a guide to Shakespeare by the Lakes’ corporate sponsorship opportunities.
If you are interested in a discussing any of these options, please contact us at lakespeareis at gmail dot com.
While Shakespeare by the Lakes’ sponsorship packages are tailor-made to suit sponsors’ interests and priorities, we offered the following standard options this year.
Financial matters
We are not-for-profit. We (the producers) will spend your money on the production and keep overhead costs to a minimum, absorbing a significant portion of them ourselves. We strive for high quality performances but run 'no-frills' events. This enables us to maximise the number of shows we can deliver and honour our creatives at the same time. The latter is important because as an independent, professionally-minded company we hold that creatives, artists and production specialists should be financially rewarded for their efforts, whenever we can afford it. We seek those with ability and a desire to learn, we provide training and trust that the results speak for themselves.
Shakespeare by the Lakes is produced by LakeSpeare & Co. which comprises Taimus Werner-Gibbings, Lexi Sekuless, Dr Duncan Driver and Paul Leverenz.
