Joel trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. His recent Canberra credits include Donkey in Shrek the Musical (Free-Rain Theatre Company), Captain Bluntschli in Arms and the Man (Canberra Repertory Society), Scott Hastings in Strictly Ballroom the Musical (Canberra Philharmonic Society), Rod/Princeton in Avenue Q (SUPA Productions), Nick Arnstein in Funny Girl (SUPA Productions) and Doctor Madden in next to normal (Phoenix Players). He sang with the Griffin Music Ensemble supporting Patti LuPone: Don’t Monkey With Broadway. He regularly hosts Everyman Theatre’s Musical Theatre Confessions. Joel's London credits include Alan in Only Heaven Knows, Mister Snow in Carousel, Mr Feldzieg in the Drowsy Chaperone and ensemble in Parade. He appeared as a soloist in the West End concert John Bucchino and Friends. He also worked as a soloist on AIDA Cruises and as a backing vocalist on a number of TV shows and cast recordings.
