What's My Scene

To help you to follow, here is a scene-by-scene breakdown. (Those with a keen eye will notice that we have cut some scenes.)

CONTENTS

ACT I: PROLOGUE 

The referee Chorus introduces the story. Listen carefully when he pops up in the play. He will explain what is going on.

ACT I: SCENE I. London. An ante-chamber in the KING'S palace.

Our play begins at the King of England's palace where the clergy discuss their interests and how they will influence the King.

ACT I: SCENE II. The same. The Presence chamber

The King and his confidant s are discussing the state of England when they receive a reporter from France, bearing a 'ballsy' message from the French King.

ACT II: SCENE I. London. A street.

A motley group of King Henry's former drinking buddies meet up. These are led by the old rascal Pistol. Expect chaos.

ACT II SCENE IV. France. The KING'S palace.

We now meet the French King and his son, the Dauphin. They discus the current situation with England and receive Exeter, a messenger from the King of England.

ACT III: PROLOGUE

Player 1 - Chorus.png

ACT III SCENE I. France. Before Harfleur.

The English armies reach the shores of France and arrive at the city of Harfleur, eager for conquest. We are now in the English camp.

ACT III: SCENE II. The same.

Our motley group of characters are with the English forces but what are they up to? The are joined by Llewellyn, a Welshman with a Kiwi accent. Typical.

ACT III: SCENE III. The same. Before the gates.

The English engage with the Governor of Harfleur. Will they be treated as friend or foe?

ACT III: SCENE IV. The FRENCH KING's palace.

England is 'so in' right now. The Princess and her offsider, giddy with anticipation, talk of nothing but the English and what will happen next. It's adorable.

ACT III: SCENE V. The same.

The English threat is on their shores. The French plan their next moves.

ACT III: SCENE VI. The English camp in Picardy.

The English have made their way inland to the town of Picardy. The English King receives a second message from France via the reporter Montjoy.

INTERVAL

Who do you think will win the battle? You will find out after the interval of approximately 20 mins. If you are at a park show, please check out our t-shirts on sale at the information point and/or make a donation. And please take time to grab some food or drink from one of the vendors.

You will hear chimes when we are about to resume.

ACT III: SCENE VII. The French camp, near Agincourt

The French army are stationed near Agincourt, awaiting the English. The Dauphin and his mates discuss the fineness of their horses and the size of their swords.

ACT IV: SCENE I. The English camp at Agincourt.

It is the night before battle. King Henry leaves his lieutenants and goes undercover to speak with the troops.

ACT IV: SCENE II. The French camp. 

In their camp, the French rouse themselves for battle.

The English receive another message via Montjoy and, too, rouse themselves for battle. The scene ends with a field goal.

Pistol and the ballboy encounter a French soldier.

Both sides battle out a scrum.

The French leaders regroup and surveille the battlefield.

The English regroup, too, and surveille the battleground. The reporter Montjoy brings them news and a request.
